This tour is a relaxed full-day journey through beautiful river landscapes and historic industrial areas in Southern Norway. Along the way, we visit hydropower plants, dams and old railway stations from the Setesdal Railway, and learn how industry helped shape modern Norway.
With a strong focus on nature and adventure, this tour is perfect for families, couples and small groups – also for those who are not especially interested in history. Comfortable e-bikes make the route easy and enjoyable, so you can focus on the scenery, the stories and sharing the experience together.

Meeting point: Lagmannsholmen 7, Kristiansand (the port)
Age Limit: 10 years
Price per group: from 19.900 NOK
A Scenic E-Bike Tour Through River Landscapes and Norwegian Heritage
The tour follows the Otra River in inner Agder, an area known for its natural beauty and its important role in Norway’s historical development.
Along the way, we explore how the river was once a vital transport route for timber, how dams and power stations changed both the landscape and everyday life, and how infrastructure such as the Setesdal Railway connected inland communities to the coast.
The scenery changes gradually throughout the day, from calm river stretches and forested landscapes to impressive engineering structures, waterfalls and historic sites. Your guide brings the landscape to life with stories that connect nature, industry and local life in a way that is easy to understand and engaging for all ages.

A Private Full-Day E-Bike Experience – Adapted to Your Group
The total duration of the experience is approximately six hours, giving you a full day to enjoy cycling, guided stops, breaks, swimming opportunities and time to relax.
The cycling itself takes around 3.5 hours on a regular bike, at a relaxed pace. Transport from Kristiansand to the starting point takes approximately 45 minutes, and the return drive is around 20–25 minutes. This structure ensures plenty of time to cycle, stop, explore, swim and enjoy food along the way – without rushing.
For groups larger than 10 participants, the tour can still be arranged. In this case, some participants may use regular bikes instead of e-bikes. The route has a moderate difficulty level, and people with good fitness can comfortably complete the tour on a standard bicycle.
The group can be less than 10 people, but for the price we charge a mimimum of 19.900 NOK (1990 NOK per person).
There are several opportunities for swimming in the river during the tour on warm days. Guests are welcome to bring their own lunch, or we can arrange food by agreement – simply contact us in advance to plan what suits your group best.
